Structural Timber Design specialise in the Design and Construction of Timber Framed Buildings. We are based in Surrey, and welcome projects from all over the UK. Not only do we design and build oak frame buildings but we work with all aspects of timber frame construction. This can range from new build to conservation and home extensions to car ports. We combine traditional jointing techniques with contemporary building methods to produce bespoke and unique projects that are tailored to our client’s requirements. Our projects are built with sustainably sourced timber and energy efficient construction techniques, that are at the forefront of modern building practice.
Visualise
We use highly advanced design software specially created for wood construction. This software allows us to create 3D models and virtual walkthrough simulations.

Plan
Good Planning at an early stage of the project is imperative to saving money and time. We are proud to have achieved a 100% pass record, for getting our projects through the planning process and we work hard to keep our reputation and achievement.

Construct
All the projects demonstrated on this site have been manufactured using well selected, converted steady timber. All pegging and jointing has been done to good traditional practice, requiring the skills of expert master carpenters & highly skilled craftsmen
